Depression doesn’t happen overnight, asserts Sharad Malhotra

An award is always an encouragement for an actor. Sometimes an actor gets for his or her performance and sometimes the award is for the entire show/series/film. Recently the web series Kashmakash won an award for the best web series in the debut category. The show narrates five unique stories of modern-day crimes in India. Sharad Malhotra is part of one of the stories Rampur Rocks. Speaking of which Sharad says,” Extremely happy & thankful to all the viewers for watching it and the team of Hungama Play for bringing a beautiful amalgamation of five different stories.

It’s an Anthology narrating five unique stories of modern-day crimes in India. I am also happy that my first web series was very different from the regular Tv shooting formats and creatively satisfying too. A treat to have worked under the guidance of Anil V Kumar’s maiden production and directorial team.”

So now when the industry has adapted the new normalcy when is Sharad likely to start his work again? “I have always believed in the saying that come what may ‘The Show must Go on’ I am all set and ready to roll! What next for the star? He says, ”I have been very fortunate with the kind of characters I got to experiment with till date.

Though hunger pangs have increased and are uncontrollable now, I am looking forward to something more challenging, which I have not done in the past. Most importantly it wouldn’t hurt trying something dark, rustic & edgy!”
