The 12th Jaipur International Film Festival is going to take place in the pink winter of PINK CITY. Jaipur International Film Festival [JIFF], has established its special identity and place around the world. It is no less than good news for cine lovers to know that the Jaipur International Film Festival [JIFF], organized by the Jaipur International Film Festival Trust and  Aryan Rose Foundation, will be inaugurated at INOX Cinema Hall, GT Central on 17th to 21st January 2020. The number of films being screened at JIFF continues to grow. It is a big achievement of JIFF that the highest number of films is selected here worldwide. Or rather, the highest selection of world’s films takes place here. JIFF is the world’s LARGEST COMPETITIVE FILM FESTIVAL since last year. Films will be screened at screens 1, 3, 6 and 7 of INOX Cinema Hall [GT Central].Screening of the films will start from 9:30 am on 18th to 21st  January, which will continue till 9:30 pm. The opening ceremony will be held on 17 January 2020 at MAHARANA PRATAP AUDITORIUM. It will be followed by screening of 79 films on 18th January, 45 films on 19th January, 63 films on 20th January and 42 films on 21st January. The festival will conclude on 21st January with the Closing Ceremony.

Jaipur International Film Festival this year received 2411 films from 98 countries, of which 229 films from 69 countries would be screened. There will be 11 more films to be screened. At the same time, 186 films will be screened in the Desktop Category. Many films will be shown at Jaipur International Film Festival [JIFF] not only for the elders, but also for the small audiences of the Pink City. Films made for special children will be screened at Subodh Public School, Jaipuria Vidyalaya, Sanskar School and Springdale School.

11 films of the state will be screened at the Jaipur International Film Festival to be held in January. The short fiction film Waiting Till Today directed by Rajesh Seth will be screened. Short fiction film Mazar – A – Laila Majnu directed by Rahul Sood will be shown. A four minute long SONG Kareeb composed under the direction of Dr. Hema Udavat will be shown. Rajesh Soni directed short fiction film Sabak and Poornima Kaul’s documentary film Hausle Ki Udaan will be shown. At the same time, Chandan Singh’s film Albelo Jaipur, based on Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan will also be screened in JIFF. Raghav Rawat and Mohit Sharma’s film Panchi will also be special, which is a story of struggles of the poor and labourer family. Feature Film Desi Band and Story Telling Song Raat will be shown too. Ad Film Do Not Drink and Drive directed by Vinod Saim will be special.

Rajasthani film Chidi Balla [Smash] the film directed by Radheshyam Pipalwa is about a schoolboy Bhagat who has to save his school. Bhagat who plays Chidi Balla, has a challenge now to win in state level badminton tournament. This 51 minutes long Rajasthani film is a tribute to art, sports and culture of the state of Rajasthan.

The screening of India’s feature fiction film Major Nirala will be special. Directed by Ganesh Veeran, this film is based on the novel by Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, which will be shown on 19th January.

The world premiere of many films will also be special in JIFF. Abhay Dalakoti’s 29-minute-long Indian film Champion and Marina Libik’s No Man’s Truth will be shown. The Brazilian film Henri Cartier – Bresson, For the Love of India will be screened. Stewart Marshall and Josh Masson’s Iron City: 1978 will screen, while Mani Shankar Iyer’s film Sattham will be screened.

When it comes to Film Awards, we are all familiar with the reputation of the OSCARS. It must be noted as a major achievement of JIFF that Oscar Winning Films as Daughter, Joseph, American Mirror – Integrations of Immorality and Iran’s Finding Farideh will also be shown at JIFF. Daughter directed by Daria Kshachiwa, which has made its place in the Top OSCAR Films, will be screened in JIFF. It is a 15 minute Animation Short Film.Iran’s film Finding Farideh is the story of a girl, who is trying to discover the secrets related to her birth. American Mirror – Integrations of Immorality depicts the truth of how we are living false and pretentious lives on Social Media. This one hour long film has garnered several prestigious awards including OSCARS. On the other hand, Sushant Mishra’s Hindi film Joseph – Born in Grace is based on a short story Joseph.

At the Jaipur International Film Festival, filmmakers and actors – actresses from across the country and abroad will interact with the audience after the Film Screening, and will also answer their questions. JAIPUR FILM MARKET will be held at the Clarks Amer Hotel, where the filmmakers will interact and discuss.
