Jaswinder Kumar, who is part of Dipti Kalwani’s Ek Bhram – Sarvagun Sampanna Kumar gets candid about role in Ek Bhram – Sarvagun Sampanna and talks to JYOTHI VENKATESH about coming on board with the show, his role and how it feels to be part of the show.
What are the prominent shows you have done?
Having a hefty experience in theater, I have always been selective about the character that I’m playing. In spite of the availability of various kinds of work, my instincts always encouraged me to select the challenging ones which make me put forward the versatility of my skills. Some of the ones are Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya on Zing and then in Badho bahu as Jitesh on &TV.
What do you feel about the unique title of the show?
The title reflects the exact soul of the show. But there would be many more secrets and layers to unfold. I’m sure that the audiences are going to have a roller coaster experience throughout.
How did you get Ek Bhram – Sarvagun Sampanna?
When I first came to know about the character, I was very eager to play the role, as it is quite unique and performance-oriented. I was eager for the audition. Things turned out well with the auditioning and today I’m here as Shail.
What are your character details in the show? Are you playing negative or positive or grey? What is your look in the show?
Well, as we all know by now that Jahnvi Mittal is on a mission which is very dangerous and tricky. Shail shares a brotherly relationship with Jahnvi since childhood, hence he’s one of the only trustworthy ones Jahnvi has by her side, to support her on the mission with all his intellect and courage. At times, I might have to look superficially negative but the motto is standing by the truth. It is more of a suspense character, Shail can shock you or surprise you at any point of time with his mysterious mind. Shail is the only unpredictable element here. You never know when and how he will appear and what he might end up doing. He switches his external appearance any time to outsmart the opponent and to protect Jahnvi. He is far from anyone’s predictions.
How much do you relate to your character?
I believe acting is something where we are portraying something which is totally unlike ourselves. We all are one way or the other dedicated towards our family and loved ones and believe in protecting them. But Shail here is much more complicated and courageous with his skilful smartness. This missing is his primary goal and he can go beyond the limits to accomplish that.
Thriller shows work big time with audiences what do you have to say about that?
Thriller is one of the genres that enhances the strongest and the most reactive senses of the people. The high adrenaline rush makes it more interesting and addictive.
How is it working with Shrenu Parikh and Zain Imam?
They both are extremely talented and hardworking.Shrenu’s expressions and performance reflects the A class acting skills, as well as Zain’s dedication towards the character. His remarkable performance has already made a huge impact on the audiences.It is great to work with both of these amazing talents.
How is it working with Dipti Kalwani, the producer of the show?
After all these years of working in this industry, I can definitely say that our respected producer Dipti Kalwani is the primary inspiration to all of us around and a great leader.It’s been an honor to be able to work with her as a part of the show.
Her leadership skill is definitely an asset to the team.Her strong vision and creativity is a motivation for the entire theme of the show.
